How to back up piano scores and recordings in SheetSnap

Verified signed-in accounts have a private Cloud Library. SheetSnap keeps a working copy on your device and uploads versioned backups of saved scores, markings, practice history and takes. Free accounts have 25 MiB per backup; eligible Pro, Creator and beta accounts have 100 MiB. Check the successful backup date before switching devices.

Guest music is separate

Guest practice needs no email. Guest files are not silently uploaded or mixed with another account. Sign in and choose Copy guest music into this account in Cloud Library if you want them included. Each account has its own device library.

Check that a backup completed

Saved changes queue a backup after about 30 quiet seconds. Network failures retain local work and retry. Open Cloud Library to check the successful backup date and size, or choose Back up now. Capacity or upload warnings mean recent changes are not yet backed up. Do not clear browser data to fix an upload warning.

Restore on another device

Sign into the same account. An empty account library restores the latest cloud copy when connected. An existing device library is not silently replaced. Download both copies before choosing Restore latest or Restore previous to resolve conflicting edits. This is versioned backup, not real-time collaborative synchronization.

Included files and limits

Backups contain imported library score data, saved markings/settings, setlists, practice sessions/results, and saved MIDI or microphone takes. Downloaded creator videos and files never imported are not included. Device latency calibration remains local. Encoded audio and image data consume capacity; keep important originals separately.

Downgrade and deletion

The latest and previous checkpoint are retained. Downgrading does not delete saved cloud music, but a new oversized backup is refused while local work stays intact. Account deletion uses the seven-day cancellation and purge process in the app policy. Other devices may retain caches until cleared.

Will signing in back up my music across devices?

Yes. Verified signed-in libraries use private cloud checkpoints for saved scores, markings, practice history and takes. Check the latest successful backup date: failed or oversized uploads leave local work intact but are not backed up. Free accounts have 25 MiB per backup and eligible Pro/beta accounts have 100 MiB. Guest music requires an explicit copy into your account. Keep important originals and finished videos separately.
